Niki’s Decadent Truffles

Hello there!

Christmas really is around the corner now. All the mothers and fathers, students, grandparents, husbands, wives…yep, you name it, we are out there, running around, last minute shopping (yes we are ALL guilty of this…), getting the big feast in order, finishing up work, all those parties, office parties, crazy parties, parties you don’t want to go to, parties where the person you fancy is going to…etc. Well, I have the perfect little treat that is really going to wow anybody you want. Yes. I promise, ANYBODY! Only two steps…

Simply, you need 280ml of double/heavy cream with a tablespoon of unsalted butter…heat gently until simmering point.

Then, break about 300g of dark, good quality chocolate (no point in doing it if you cannot find good quality, so please put in the effort!) into a bowl. Pour over the cream mixture and whisk thoroughly. Wait for it to cool until placing it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Once set, you can shape them and dust them with chopped hazelnuts, icing sugar, any melted chocolate of your choice…the choices really are endless!

What do you get after these simple steps? Well, take a look for yourself…

…Minimum input for maximum effect! What more could we wish for at this time of year?!

You could dust them off with icing sugar once finished too for an extra touch as well…

My darling readers…I do hope you enjoy these little easy treats. Since this is my last post before Christmas, I would like to take this chance to wish every single one of you a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. I hope from the bottom of my heart that it is filled with joy, health and of course…great food!!

Happy Baking and…

Happy Christmas!
